| Stopping
traffic in Seattle |

|
There are four draw-bridges from
the Puget Sound up the Ballard canal to Lake Washington. With
one long and two short blasts from the ships horn you'll stop
traffic, just like that! People don't seem to mind very much,
they just get out of there cars and watch as you slowly pass
under. This one is the Montlake Bridge. |

| Dena,
my love |

|
This is by far my favorite photo
of Dena, it was shot at 6:30am on a cold clear January morning
in the year of many zero's as we were rowing to the ferry terminal
across Eagle Harbor of Bainbridge Island, just beautiful! We
did this every day while we lived on the south side of B.I. |

| Dena's
Morning |

|
This was a rare occasion. I had
the day off and James was going to work, so I got to row back
to the boat by myself. Our Sojourner Earth was an amazing dinghy
to row when alone. Usually, James rowed me in the mornings and
I rowed him in the evenings. |

| Bainbridge,
Is. |

|
Right after we put the boat back
in the water after putting the new deck on we moved to Bainbridge
Is. Marina. A beautiful place with a dick of a Harbor Master! |

| That
old wooden Dock |

|
I really do miss that old wooden
dock. Although safer to walk on in heavy winds, concrete docks
just don't feel as...Salty! |

| Exploring
Eagle Harbor |

|
Though we had tons of work to do,
finishing the deck job, we took a day off to row around and
explore the little sloughs leading off from Eagle Harbor. |

| Frosty
cold |

|
Although it was beautiful one of
the main reasons we moved from Washington was the cold. |

| The
Hood |

|
The Hood is one of the oldest "hook
down" anarchist communities in the world. Established in
1899 it remains as a bastion of freedom in the middle of Eagle
Harbor. |
