Sail Rig

Wing on wing down the home stretch with the Port of Oakland to port and Alameda to starboard.

Wing-on-wing heading into the Oakland Inner Harbor the last day of our Delta cruise.
April 5th 2005.

Our mainsail is a 6.0 Dacron North Sail with Lazy Jacks on a Le'Fill Boom with a ridgid Vang and a Dutchman Boom Brake. The rig makes all points of sail at sea very easy to single hand. The Gulf 32 is widely known as "the sailors motor sailer".

Sapien's foresail is a 110% Genoa, also a North Sail made from 6.0 Dacron.

All lines run aft...

2001 Furlex 200S Roller Furling.

All Sheets and Halyards were replaced before our trans-Pacific adventure in 2006.

Just East of Alcatraz, Is. in 2003.
