I was raised
in several parts of the US, but my parents weren't boaters.
We all loved the water, and had swimming pools like good Californians,
but we never had a single boat and only a couple of times went
to a lake with a motor boat or fishing boat. I was a swimmer
in high school - just good enough to make it to the State competitions
my senior year, not good enough to scare anyone there. I've
always preferred to be on or near water in quiet and relaxing
ways. When James and I met, I was introduced to the idea of a
sailing lifestyle. In a million ways, I recognized a way of
living that would be healthy and keep me on the water and on
the move. I loved it!

I want to ask big questions and actively seek
the answers. How can humanity ensure that we have global civilization
as well as global trade? Human beings can find and apply common,
successful fundamentals of civilization. If individuals around
the world have local culture but also make up part of the global
culture, we will have commonalities as well as differences from
which to develop understanding relationships. How will I work
on that? Well, check out the long-term plans page...
