What
is a diplomat?
We believe that a diplomat
is simply a representative of a country. A person that represents
the ideas and beliefs of a particular nation.
My Name is James
Lane and I was born in the United States
of America but I do not believe in the policies of the aforementioned
country's present government.
I have read and fully understand the words in the Constitution
of the United States of America. I also believe I
represent the beliefs in the aforementioned document to the
best of my abilities to understand those words.
Therefore, It is my wish to embark on an indefinite journey
of diplomacy, to find my niche and apply my talents where their
needed the most and in return learn the meaning of the word
civilization as it applies to a planet as opposed to one nation.
also I'd very much like to prove to the people of the planet
Earth (who I can reach personally under sail) that
not all people born in the United States of America are ass
holes like george bush II and his ilk.

***
We really are doing this, Dena
and I. On the first leg of our journey we sailed to the San
Francisco Bay from Seattle, WA. A beautiful two year adventure
that took us through the San Juan Islands of the Puget sound
in Washington State, the southern Gulf Island of B.C. Canada
and the of course the aw inspiring North American Pacific Ocean.
Now almost seven years into our adventure we're seeking grants
and donations for enough money*,resources, gear, technology,
et-cet so that we, can sustainably, comfortably, and successfully
achieve, document and ultimately complete this immense journey
of discovery. We are going to circumnavigate the planet Earth
in our 32 foot sailboat, the S.V. Sapien, over the next 15 to
20 some-odd-years and as communications technology marches on
we will endeavor to document this journey in the most interactive
way our budget will allow. So...
Please donate generously to us and to the enduring spirit
of discovery.
Thank you...
James
Lane

*we're still working on that figure but realistically if
we're looking at about $300 bucks a week (we can live on that
under sail, really) for 15 years that's about 234,000 Big Ones,
and about a half-mil for 30 - c'mon that's noth'n!
